Clicking means to activate an internet link by moving the mouse pointer onto the link and pressing ("click") the left mouse button.
A Click is the result archived by clicking. As clicks archive an effect (the target internet site is being requested) they could be counted. Therefore clicks could be used as measure for the success of the clicked link or of the targeted website.
