The menu of a website lists the most important pages of that location. Each item in the menu provides a link to the listed page so a single click is needed to reach it. As the menu should aid the user in navigating on the website in ideal case it will be found on each page at the same position. If the items in the menu are sorted (as in most cases) in a horizontal or vertical bar the expression menu bar is often used for the menu.
